How to change Site title and Tagline in Wordpress themes

What is Site title and Tagline?

Site title and Tagline is the very first paragraph of your website. It is visible on the header of your web page and describes your whole website. On the Site title and Tagline you should write the title of your company, website or blog. All our themes comes with this feature, as it is very important for optimization of your website for search engines. These lines should have keywords, important for your web page. Site title paragraph has H1 tag and Tagline paragraph has H2 tag. This is also important for website SEO optimization, as by these tags search engine knows the importance of keyword on page.

I downloaded a Wordpress theme from your site, how can I change Site title and Tagline?

Wordpress theme, downloaded from us, takes the existing Site title and Tagline as they should be configured when installing Wordpress. These settings basically are not a theme feature, but wordpress itself. If you've not configured your Site title and Tagline yet, or you want to change them here's instructions on how to do that.

Step 1

Log-in to your wordpress site administration panel. By default, administrator login window should be reachable at yoursite.com/wp-admin page. Enter your user name and password to login to your administrator panel. There's a menu bar on the left of administration window. Find "Settings" menu button and click it. Some sub-menu items should appear, then click "General".

Step 2

On the right side of window you should see lots of options and first two of them are settings what we need now. They are called "Site title" and "Tagline". Now you can write here what you wish. Just remember that these text lines are very important to your site as they basically describes what your site is about.
