What is Site name and slogan text?

Site name and slogan text is the very first paragraph of your website. It is visible on the header of your web page and describes your whole website. On the site name and slogan you should write the title of your company, website or blog. All our themes comes with this feature, as it is very important for optimization of your website for search engines. These lines should have keywords, important for your web page. Site name paragraph has H1 tag and slogan paragraph has H2 tag. This is also important for website SEO optimization, as by these tags search engine knows the importance of your keyword on page.

I downloaded Drupal theme from your website, what should I do to change Site name, slogan text and other parameters?

First you have to login to your administration account of your website. By Drupal default settings, you should navigate to yoursite.com/user and enter login details here.

Changing Site title and slogan on Drupal based site:

Step 1

When logged on your administrator panel go to "Configuration" menu tab and click "Site information", located in "System" block.

Step 2

In the opened window you will see a list of site details. The first two lines are these settings we need to change. change them to whatever you want and click "Save configuration"

How do I change other settings, related to my downloaded Drupal theme?

Step 1

When logged as administrator, click "Appearance" menu tab. You will see a list of installed themes. Note that there are 2 types of themes - Enabled and disabled. You should enable your downloaded theme before making any changes. Also, you should set it as default if you want to see changes in frontend of the site.

Step 2

When Appearance settings window opens, you should see a list of options that you can configure on your downloaded Drupal theme. You can Turn displaying Site name and slogan on or off and other settings, related on how your new theme will look like.
